Maintenance Position Careers in Deary, Idaho

The City of Deary in beautiful Idaho is seeking a dedicated and reliable individual for our open Maintenance Position. This is a unique and rewarding opportunity to join a close-knit municipal team that maintains and improves the essential infrastructure and services that our community depends on. As a Maintenance Technician, you’ll work 40 hours per week under the guidance of our Maintenance Supervisor across several departments – including Parks, Streets, Water, and Sewer. Your responsibilities will include operating a wide variety of power tools and equipment, performing routine and emergency maintenance tasks, and ensuring all work is conducted safely and efficiently in outdoor environments year-round.

We are looking for candidates who are at least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license. Preferred applicants will have experience in equipment operation, a proven ability to work with minimal supervision, and the ability to respond to Deary within 30 minutes if needed. While a Class B CDL and Water/Sewer certifications are a plus, what matters most is your willingness to learn, your can-do attitude, and your commitment to serving the public. Those hired will have the opportunity to obtain certifications after employment.
