Alternatives to Violence of the Palouse (ATVP) is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing direct support and essential services to survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse, stalking, and other forms of trauma. Based in Pullman, WA, ATVP is recognized for its commitment to advocacy, client-centered care, and public education. Our advocates provide vital legal advocacy, crisis intervention, emotional support, and help with accessing community resources and safety planning. Crisis counselors work closely with law enforcement and local agencies to ensure comprehensive services for those who have experienced harm. Shelter Advocates offer direct support during emergency shelter stays, focusing on both adult and youth clients, helping them navigate difficult decisions, and maintaining a safe environment. Volunteer Coordinators help strengthen our community network by managing volunteer programs and delivering impactful educational presentations.
